My PSP from release still holds an impressive charge (like two or three days on sleep.) This new unit looks neat, but I probably won't even consider to bite.

Was really hoping for a slider design -- it's also bigger than I'd like (though I think I'm spoiled by the PSPgo). Still going to keep my eye on it though. Maybe we'll finally get a next gen Monster Hunter game :p

because some people never gave a shit about the gimmicky DS

personally i love the hardware on this thing, and if it sells as well as the PSP it's going to have a MASSIVE online market like the iPhone. sony has their own gimmick (back touchscreen) completely different from anything nintendo is offering as well. plus if sony has the business sense to get in with Android for games (kinda where I see the new PSP phone headed), they could really be onto something here.

Quad core? OLED? Android? That's what I'm fucking talking about.

Trondog 01-27-2011 11:31 AM

I'm definitely interested. However I have a sneaking suspicion that it could end up costing like $300. I don't know if I'd pay the same for a portable as a new ps3

Codesage 01-27-2011 11:35 AM

As opposed to the 3ds at $250? I'd actually be surprised if they didn't fuck up and try to offer this thing for $400.

For the hardware it's packing, I wouldn't be too upset with $300.

Only $1000 (price TBD.)

Trondog 01-27-2011 12:13 PM

I'm not going to buy the 3DS either for $250. I won't be surprised that it's $300+, but I'm not going to exactly be thrilled to be paying more for a portable than a console.
