Its for families, reservists and retirees. And if you're going to medical on base, thats not tricare. At least not in the Marine Corps. Its seeing Navy Corpsmen and Drs.

Reservists have the option to buy into Tricare and they can buy it for their families when they're deployed. Its going up quite a bit in cost
how much?
well i found a place willing to work with me $380 up front, and another ~300. ANG said I would need a written report from the doc explaining what allergies I had and how I don't have them anymore.. which is needed for my RE:2C waiver application.
According to congressional assessments, a retired Army colonel with a family currently paying $460 a year for health care will pay $2,048.

That still seems ridiculously cheap in this day and age.
The administration is asking troops to get by without the equipment and force levels needed for global missions.
Really? So spending more than the next 15 top military spending nations combined is just not enough to keep us safe from the non-existent military threats we face in the world?

especially since an O-6 makes twice that per month...just from retirement pay.

Forever Domon 02-27-2012 02:57 PM

I was thinking that was quite a lot... until i realized that was annual, not monthly.

Most people would pay that monthly.

So even with all that spending bad things can still happen? Especially when the military is still focused on an outdated cold war ideology?

cool story, bro.
