Callout: EVE-Players

took a short trip to the EVE Gate. visited last year as well, wanted to see what it looked like since apocrypha


What you're greeted with upon arrival.





Warp on over to the only planet left in the system (I assume New Eden I - IV were destroyed when the gate when tits up). It's a ringed planet a few AU from the site itself.



You'll notice this yodeling point. Seems someone had the courtesy to drive toward to the anomaly for a while and drop a container to warp to. It's about 200 clicks in.







Nice view.




Back near the jump gate there's a bunch of containers floating around. Some of them are more solemn, others make you think this is the bathroom wall of the galaxy.




Left one myself while I was at it.





Gonna run around null sec for a bit, see how long it takes someone to notice my little rookie frig. Hopefully they'll be find enough to send me home the fast way.

Hmm, should I come back? I was in the beta, and even a GM for awhile, but I got so burned out.

I was involved in the first corp theft after release and it eventually lead to the death of the oldest ingame corp (Colossus Technologies).

I gave up this game a while back, I have a few pilots, a carrier, etc.. i just got so burned out with it all.

I tried to get an [M] corp running a few months ago. It kind of fell through as most of the older people were too far along with thier own corps or PvP to participate and we couldn't really engage the newbies very well. Most of us were kind of stuck in a half way point between being elite and being noobs so that didn't help either.

I haven't logged in for a month or more so I have no idea what my old corp is up to. If things fell apart with them I'd be up for joining an [M] corp. I have roughly 18,000,000SP mostly in combat skills but I can pilot a hulk as well.

I'd like to join in but the only issue I had was traveling in game, I hated dropping out right before the warp gate and waiting to reach the game. I may just join up though and check it out, I would need some help building myself up.

It's been years since I've played.

Pros: You don't have to play a lot to train skills and get better.
Cons: Playing a lot doesn't help you train skills and get better.

The time I spend in game seems very unrewarding

thats a huge reason why I quit. Dedication and effort means nothing.

that's only true if you're basing your experience in the game purely on your skills

skills will help you gain a few percentages in certain areas and it may take a couple months to fly a battleship but if those are the only measures of success for you in a game then EVE simply isn't for you

dedication and effort have meant controlling entire constellations for some

one dude spent a little over a month just being a tourist
