Paypal dispute over ebay item

here's another good one... He was supposivly going to return the item to me today, He asked for my return address because looking on paypal is too hard for him apparently, I send it to him and just got this email back.

Mike? The address you have given me makes NO sense! I am at the UPS shipping facility and they can not make sense of it themselves! What is your correct address?


I've had hundred of items shipped to me through ups for over 10 years now, I find this kinda pathetic at this point.

Who cares? I wouldn't even respond to something like that. If it doesn't get to your door with his own brain cells, he doesn't get his money back anyways. Also - how was it determined by paypal that the buyer deserved a refund? In all honesty, I would be fighting to make him keep that shit.

i wish i knew, like paypal tells anyone anything, you throw in your evidence and they pick a side and tell you the result, wont give a solid reason why they chose it though.

for example, this is what paypal sent me after the claim was finished..

We've determined that the buyer should receive a $315.00 USD refund if they
ship the merchandise back to you. The merchandise will be in the same

I'd really like to but i dont plan on doin that unless i know for a fact it actually is. If it comes back as mine and in relatively the same condition I'll be happy enough just to be done with this shit.

Just craigslist the thing next time. All the spammer and adbot is pretty much gone now.. I've bought lots of stuff on CL now and on each buy but one, I was the only replyer.

I'm really starting to consider craigslist.. I live near milwaukee and im not exactly a huge fan of meeting random people and all that stuff for safety and security reasons but at this point I'd be better of with my chances of getting shanked then finding a legit buyer on ebay.

I live near Milwaukee and purchased my PS3 off of Craigslist. It was no big deal. I can say, though, that in our market I usually get less when selling on CL than I do on eBay.

Not every person you meet online through a Craigslist buy/sell is doing it just to buttrape you. Request to meet in the daytime, in an open area where there's people coming/going, go there and be civil. It's a business transaction.

As for what you're yielding from selling stuff, you can either use CL and have consistency & face-to-face meeting, or you can try your luck at the eBay Casino.

Ok, I know this is kinda dirty, but this scumbag deserves it.

If he DOESNT ship with signature confirmation, then you can claim you never got it and he will be forced to use his shippers insurance (if he got it) or be out of luck on the money.

If he DOES use signature confirmation, when the shipper brings you the item sign it with a fake name. Then you claim you never got the item, the shipper will have a fake name on file, and then you show paypal the tracking number and how someone else signed for it. The guy will be forced to dispute with the shipper to get the money. Its shitty and I wouldnt do it unless I absolutely had to, but this fuckwad sounds like he deserves it.
