slight change for the truck

prior to cleaning



started with the oldest tire to ensure that the brake dust would come off

two new tires, two old tires turned around, and a lifetime alignment later and i'm good to go







only some idiot put the wheel weights so that they would hit the caliper on the front passenger side
eventually it went from GRUNK-GRUNK-GRUNK-GRUNK-GRUNK to wst-wst-wst-wst-wst-wst-wst-wst-wst-wst-wst-wst-wst and eventually wore away enough so that it didn't make any more noise
i'll drop it off tomorrow and get it fixed at a store closer to work

hey, i take care of that truck, it's looked nice for a while

If your wheel weights are hitting the caliper, doesn't that mean your rims are too small?

no, it means the guy put the wheel weight in the wrong spot

it's hard to actually see, but there's a strip about an inch and a half wide at the inside of the wheel that allows for clearance of the wheel weights, you can sorta see it here

he should've used sticky weights on the interior of the wheel and used traditional wheel weights on the edge of the inside to get it to balance out



additionally, there are wheel weights that aren't as tall as those, but are wider and longer per .25oz, if they had those weights they wouldn't hit and i wouldn't know that he balanced the wheels incorrectly

it's got about 3/8" clearance... that's not a tight clearance to me

Lookin' good. Looking at the shot of the inside of your bed makes me hate you, though. Any scratches around here turn to rust immediately. I've seen trucks only 6 years old need a bed replacement the bottom is so rotted out.

honestly, i don't think that any of those scratches went through the primer and to the metal, at least very very few have

there's a spot on the passenger rear wheel well where there's a hole, i'm not sure if that is a hole from the wheel well/mud flap rubbing or actual rust
don't get me wrong, the truck was up in DC and exposed to salted roads, and due to an accident the rear bumper was replaced, the shop put a trailer ball that the previous bumper had on it and broke the brand new paint, from there there is a substantial amount of rust
i need to replace that actually

edit: i don't think i have any pictures of that actually, at least none i can post

nah man, those things are dented rusted, scuffed, and just bad

i should be able to get some new ones from work for cheapish
