Help! Need to find a Hotel / Motel for cheap in downtown NYC (near Penn Station)
me and my friends want to go to NYC for Dec 4 - 5th, but the travel sites obviously only list the high class ( 500, 600 $ a night rooms)
i need a hotel / motel (we really dont care where we stay) List of things we want to do, in case it helps with the hotel / motel - Ice Skating @ Rockefeller - See the XMas Tree - Shopping - Were taking the train into Penn Station, so wed like to stay as close to there as possible Thanks guys, i really need to find a place to stay for cheap or we cant go

As long as you are sure you're going. I don't know how it is now (I think it blows chunks), but I got a 5 star hotel for $150/night, it had a kitchenette and everything, it ruled

oh and as for the penn station business. thats not really an issue if you are in manhattan already. theres like a dozen trains that stop at penn station.
i dont think its ever really an issue trying to find a N, R, Q, W, B, D, F. V, A, C, E, 1, 2 or 3 train.
