Old phone died...

Because I am gay my phone died. My phone is a Handspring Visor Deluxe with a Sprint PCS Springboard attached. Here is a pic. It is on the right.




This broke after 6 years of having the main unit and 2 years with the phone. I am heart-broken

I love the functionality of the phone and I have a lot of addresses and apps specific for Palm OS that I run on it that I would hate to lose. So here are the options I came up with.

I can get a replacement main unit like I have (only color) and another attachment for it. This will require me to register this new piece with Sprint, but I should be able to keep my current plan and all of my apps and copy them over very easily. I have to buy the parts from ebay because it has been discountinued, so I found this.

And this will include a camera attachment and GPS attachment that would be really handy to have and use.



My next option would be to get a Treo 600 or 650. I would get the 650 instead for the better screen and keyboard, but it is prohibitively expensive if I keep my new plan because I couldn't qualify for the discounts (new customers of the plan only).

I could run all of the apps and beam my address book to this as well, so I wouldn't lose anything.

My last option is a T-Mobile Sidekick2. For this I would have to cancel my current plan (fee for that), and sign a new plan (fee for that). But for $60 a month I can get unlimited data as well as 1000 anytime minutes. None of my apps or addresses can be used, however, in this new package. But it is insanely cheaper after all of the discounts.
