If he's using mmoy's latest round of SSE2 patches, you might see some big gains on P4/K8 systems. In his own testing, mmoy recently developed some patches which almost double JPEG rendering speed.

Anyone else not see a point in upgrading to anything past 1.0 since the most useful extensions (Adblock, Mousgestures, etc) aren't compatible?

Security and bugs fixes mostly. My extensions work anyway.
