I need a topic for my persuasive speech..
I can't think of anything good. The only idea thus far is "Why you should follow traffic laws"... open to all suggestions.
I have to try to convince my audience (the class) to see it like I do.

we had 2 persuasive speeches in my speech class and my topics were:
1) why you should play mean practical jokes on kids 2) why I should get an A for this speech got an A- and an A... mainly because I had everyone's attention the entire time (because they were laughing) |

High Speed, Low Drag

My freshman year in college I did a persuasive speech on why there shouldn't be speed limits on major highways in the US.
I did a lot of research comparing Autobahn highway deaths to the US highway deaths and if you remove alcohol and weather as factors contributing to the crash, you still have very substantial data to support your argument. The speech was generally well recieved and I ended up getting an A. I know it's kind of a riff on what you had already been thinking about, but it makes an easier case to support the removal of speed limits on interstate highways than to support simply not following traffic ordinances. |
