Cake
I've recently been taking a cake decorating class, so I figured I'd post some cakes I've made so far. Most of these were for class. The birthday cake was one I did for someone. At the end of October someone has hired me to make 4 dozen cupcakes for a Halloween party.
I don't like this cake at all. It was our first cake for class and we could only use certain shapes and 2 colors. My teacher liked it though.  This has been my favorite cake so far.   I don't plan on making roses anymore.  Cake for a party. I don't really like these colors but the person buying it wanted it.  This is the cake I made last night. The flowers on top are made from an icing that hardens and you actually save them. It took 3 previous classes to make all these flowers ( there are more but I didn't want more on the cake. This cake took forever due to the basket weave on the sides.   P.S. If you can't tell by all the stuff in the background, I do have a baby. Here's a pic just b.c I think he's cute... this is about a month and a half ago. He is 5 1/2 months old now. He looks chubby in that picture, but is actually quite small. We have newer pics, but I don't want to mess with getting them off the camera.

Looks like he did the under for each circular band then put the cross band over it then but the over for the repective circular band...

Cake decorating looks cool... wish i had time to do that...
I also wish cakes came in less whimsical fairylind colors like white and blue and pink and yellow all the time... I want a black cake with silver trim damnit! Mabe thats why I like german chocolate ckae so much... |

I ate some cake once, and the red icing tasted terrible. I havent had red icing since.
Nice cakes though. One of my moms friends makes good cakes.
