Speakers popping

Every time my refridge turn on or somethign else in my room my speakers let out a loufd pop.

this cant be good for them.. also i'm in a dorm so when ever my 2 neighbors shit turns on i get the same thing.

I alrady have my speakers running through a surge strip, UPS with surge supresion line filetering and line voltage soothing then have it running through a dedicated line filter and voltage smoother..

what else could i do to fix this!

The same thing happens to me, though I live in a really old apartment building.

It's either really old wiring or just really bad wiring...

When my fridge turns on, my light flickers, my TV flashes, and my speakers pop... if I use the microwave my light dims way down for the entire time it's running.

I don't really think there's anything you can do... but in any case, I feel your pain.

if it's running through a high quality UPS it shouldn't be doing that. aren't they supposed to be completely isolated? is it the type that runs the inverter all the time, or only when the power goes out?

Put it on a backup battery/surge protector that can cover for those fluctuations. My PC is on one but I wish more was because whenever I turn on my laser printer the lights dim.
