Just got the blueprints back from the architect we hired to draw them for our new house. Now that we have these we can start the loan process and get started building our new home.

Here are the drawings:

This is the first floor. Pay no mind to the lines outside of the actual house. Thats all just decking and the such. Also the left side of what you see here is going to be windows ceiling to floor with 2 sliding glass doors going out to the the covered deck outside.

Here is our second floor/loft/Masterbedroom and bath. Notice how the top of the stairs are open to the floor below. We added that small sitting area at the top of the steps to utilize the view out of the windows directly across from it and for resale value. We are also unsure if that is going to be the final layout of our master bath but we can change that any time we want as it will not deter the "under roof" construction of the house.

Here is our basement. It's going to be finished well after the first two floors are. It's not drawn in but in our preliminary blueprints I added a 14ft wetbar with beer taps and coolers . My plan is to make it as authentic as any real bar. This is also going to be decked out with a pool table and big screen TV or projector for football games and the such

So all in all we have a 3 bedroom house at a grand total of about 1600sq ft, not including the basement. After we finish that it should come out to about 2300 sq ft. The house is not designed as exactly as we want it. We built it this way for optimum resale value because we plan to build on some nicer property in roughly 5 years.

UPDATE:

We just heard back from the bank and we are guranteed a loan amount of $210,000!!!

All we have to do is complete the loan process and get the money so we can start building our house

Why did you make your pantry not directly connected to your kitchen? Granted, its only a few steps out of the way, but nonetheless out of the way.

I live in Pittsburgh, PA. More specifically this house will be built a little north of the actual city.

The total amount that we applied for is taking into consideration that we will need extra money just in case something doesn't add up right after we start building. In actuallity we will probably spend closer to the $120,000 to $130,000 range if not less.

We are going to do almost all of the interior work ourselves to save money (tiles, walls, etc) We will have carpeting, plumbing, electrical, etc done professionally.

If everything goes as planned we will start in mid to late November and be under roof by March-April.

Yeah I know it's a little akward but, it was the only place we had room for the size of pantry that we really wantedto have in there.
