Well slowly it's been a long time coming. I guess I'll start from the beginning; I was introduced by Genmay in 2002 by a co-worker. I signed sometime when who knows when (too lazy to check) and it took off from there. All of these interesting people like click, Sanjay and the mysterious M|2 I read about. The history alone brought me to Genmay and the threads kept me around. Content and a lot of it was the driving force. Instead, of vaulted threads now about someone who fucked there mom or showed there credit card number, it’s now about some drama from one click to another. I had a lot of fun getting to know other people and post next to legends like the cave man Grog and Fly Navy. Shenanigans were had with Wizzfish, friends were made, and games were played. If games forum had a vault then this thread would be vaulted. Lineage 2. SO much fun was had with these people, getting together and I could not even know them but say hi2u and I was instantly recognized like you where someone. Speed up time now, about a year ago, people started coming in. The flood gates opened from 20k to 30 to now nearing 40k. Some of the veteran posters started dropping..Fly Navy, Adlaris, ect. Now when I make a thread it’s flooded with 20k’s saying the “fuck you lolol” and fag b7 like there original or something. I’ve known to not let stuff bother me since I first flamed but it’s as if now that’s all a thread is, not just mine. Also the mods have changed, I use to be able to ask M|2 to change my username when it got raped or we could cause and change my name to someone else’s. It’s also come to my attention that a lot of the new moderators don’t even know of how Genmay once was. How can it keep its originality when no one here is original? I guess we’ve thrived on new people for new content, lord knows some new people are fucking hilarious. It just not fun for me anymore. This isn’t a goodbye=b7 thread, it’s that I want to kinda silently go away into the sub-forums that get decent replies. I’m going to donate money and stick this thread so that new users can learn from my experience and try to create a fun, better, atmosphere. Genmay, my first intarweb I had a lot of fun here, I'd like to thank Charles for running the place, Sanjay for being a leader.
