we playin basketball

Second game I've covered this season, first time I got pictures I was at least a bit happy with. The light isn't great, but it's bright enough to make using a flash troublesome. All these were shot at iso 1600, run through Noise Ninja.
I shot the first quarter sitting in front of the stands with a 70-200, I got about 1/200 2.8 at 1600.
The second quarter I stood behind the home basket with an 85 1.8, got about 1/320 or 1/400 at 2.0, also 1600 iso

They look fine on my monitor, or rather, they did before I saved them for web. Now they look a bit yellowish. All shot RAW with AWB and fixed with in photoshop, maybe I'll have to go back and reconvert them...

Did you save them as sRGB or aRGB?

They were shot aRGB, then saved for web in photoshop, which converts them to sRGB. That was very surprising, but they look better now...

I like the shots!

Every picture except for #2 looks red. Those darn color profiles are being mischievous again!.

I asked for a spyder for Christmas, we'll see if anyone comes through for me...

Nice work on #2.

Yeah, its a little strong on magenta and red.

I should be shooting basketball for the first time this week or next I think. Kinda looking forward to it...I always enjoy shooting some b-ball.
