Spokane, WA
I don't have any idea why anyone would visit this town, but I've lived here all my life and so I figured I'd share the good places to eat.
There are a ridiculous number of Oriental restaraunts here, so I'll share the three that not only pass health inspections, but are good: Cathay Inn 3714 N Division St Large portions and a large menu. Peking North 4120 N Division St The best quality chinese in Spokane. Kim Do Restaraunt 2018 N Hamilton St A Vietnamese restaraunt. Goodtymes Bar & Grill 9214 E Mission Ave - Just off exit 287 Simply excellent American food. Minors are allowed in before 8 PM. There is also stand up comedy at 9 PM on Sundays. Catacombs Pub 110 S Monroe St This place is almost literally a hole in the wall. There is a small door that goes to it on the street. Look for the Montvale. This place has excellent calazones and pizza, and has a lot of German foods. Minors are allowed in. Tomato Street 6220 N Division St An Italian restaraunt so good and so popular it's always packed. Try to get in at odd hours or call ahead to see what the wait is. Rancho Chico 2023 W Northwest Blvd -OR- 9205 N Division St Awesome Mexican food. Inexpensive & large portions. Food comes out so fast you barely have time to chat. Flamin' Joe's 11618 E Sprague Ave An awesome american place with ribs, wings, and burgers. The following are the chain restaraunts that are good and in town: Anthony's 510 N Lincoln St A relatively expensive seafood restaraunt with a beautiful view of the Spokane river and the waterfall. The Old Spaghetti Factory 152 S Monroe The Onion 302 W Riverside Ave -OR- 7522 N Division St Outback Steakhouse 5628 N. Division St., Suite B-6 -OR- 14746 E Indiana Ave Cyrus O'leary's 516 West Main ColdStone Creamery 9502 N Newport Hwy -OR- 3011 E 29th Ave You must get ice cream here at least once. Krispy Kreme Doughnuts 15401 E Indiana Ave You know, donuts. [Credit to OneWhoKnows] Clinkerdaggers 621 West Mallon Avenue, Spokane, WA It sports a pretty cool view of the Spokane River, but be warned that it's not a cheap place to eat. The service is awesome but the food isn't exactly a testament to the cost - the food is still good though! Steam Plant Grill 159 S. Lincoln, Spokane, WA Another cool dining experience. Built inside a historic landmark - a steam plant, who would've guessed??? - there's brick wall and black iron girders with subtle lighting. The food is tasty and the service is usually good. The food isn't cheap, but about standard.

Krispy Kreme.
There's an Old European there, best breakfast place ever. The abelskivers are amazing. I went to some little Italian place there last month, unfortunately I don't recall the name or where it was. I do remember I got a picture of Alaskan Amber Ale for only $8 (and they wanted $3.25 for a glass)

Yeah I've never been to the Spokane one but the Pulman one is great. On the weekends everyone coming in there is hungover. All the sorostitues are just wearing sweatss, or whatever outfit they partied in the night before. And the staff is made up mostly of college students who've been working there a few years at least. Plus we know the guy at the front so we always get seated first ![]()

'sup northwesterner! The Onion ftw, I love that place.
Sushi wise, there's nothing in Spokane. If any of you guys are in Pullman/Spokane after the 15th of Jan, we should hang out.

We've got a full bar at our place, so we can probably handle having everyone meet here. I don't think there's more then a half dozen people here in Pullman.

And how many go to Genmay? I keed, I keed.... Sounds pretty cool if folks would be interested... I enjoy meeting folks from forums I frequent, never met any Genmay folks before though... anyone else interested? Probably not the best thread/forum for this discussion, I suppose...

Nookiemonster from Automay is in Pullman too, I sent him a PM about this thread... (this came up on an Automay thread last month).... my GF is in town this weekend but I was thinking about going over there either next weekend or the weekend after that... that's 7 Genmayers between the two threads? Not bad at all...
