Who has been to India?

I am thinking about going to Ansal Institute of Technology (AIT) in Gurgaon, Haryana, India for fall semester 2006.
It is not far away from New Delhi, a town of Coruption...

Has anyone spent any time over there? Know much about it?

I am Irish and Sweedish so its not like i am going to blend in, nor will the 2 girls that i will be traveling with...

What have you heard about the area?

Never been personally but I know someone who has....apparently the country is a pretty big shithole for the most part with a huge gap between the wealthy and the poor and not much between.
