This one is about the Ikea Jerker. I know several of you guys have this desk. Anyone running dual 21" monitors on it? Does it wobble, or is it pretty solid? My old ikea wooden desk is super wobbly, so I gave it to the GF for her laptop (haha, she's fucked now!).

My current desk is an antique table that needs to be refinished, and my father is 90% sure he's getting me dual 21" monitors for my birthday (yay corporate surplus computers).

So...is the Jerker really stable, or does it wobble. Wobbly desks piss me off to no end.

edit: I live in an apartment, so space is limited

i forgot to add... more depth = more better.

Jerker (with the overhead unit thingy)

Width: 49 5/8 "
Depth: 35 3/8 "
Height: 56 3/4 "
Max. load: 165 lb

Will that hold 2 21" monitors (weight)

I would think that since the Jerker is just a larger version of the Fredrik...yes, two 21 inch CRTs should be able to be held just fine.

The overhead unit thing is adjustable to allow for clearance.

Space was really tight when I had my 19 in Samsung 955DF CRT and my Viewsonic VX910. Although I was able to fit a Dell 1905, 2405 and the Viewsonic on the same desk with no probs. Also, if you are in an apt and move often, I'd stay away, the desk wont survive more than 1 move.

Yeah, it was seperate. Something like 40$ CAN if memory serves.
No wobble to it, unless you grab it and try to rotate it.

If you assemble it correctly, it is very strong. I could walk on the main desk part

Why do you say that?

It survived 3 moves for me and is still fine. I don't use mine now cause my house is very small
