anyone here good with japanese?

thanks to some retarded military shit i had to do during finals week, im taking my japanese exam two weeks late. With such a large gap between my last class and exam, i've forgotten a ton of vocab and grammar, so im probably not going to do too well on this.

We have a short speech section of the exam and so I wrote mine on a trip to Kyoto i went on recently. Im hoping someone fluent in Japanese (or at least, more so than I am at this point) can proof-read it and let me know of any fuckups. I know Chelan and a few other people know Japanese pretty well, so hopefully i can find some help here.

にげつ　に きょと　に　いきました。
たくせん　ふるい　おーてら　が　あります。
きょーみず　おーてら　を　まわりました。
おもしろくて　きれいな　ところ　です　よ。
たくせん　あたらしい　ひと　が　あいたり、たくせん　すごい　ところ　に　いったり　しました。

Im trying to say something along these lines.

In February, I went to Kyoto.There were many old temples. I went around Kyo-Mizu temple. Its an interesting and pretty place. You can meet many new people and go to many great places.

I would write something less and simple but I want to be able to remember it easily. Anyone who can proofread this for me and point out any mistakes?

beginners japanese III. its pretty simple and low-level so they keep the speeches down to a few small paragraph

hmm, you may want to consider adding a bit more to the speech. It's not bad, just basic, but pretty short.

edit: nvm, you want to remember it. It sounds fine. Not sure about the last sentence, but the rest seems alright. (I took 4 years of japanese and learned for 2)
