I had my plate mounted the exact same way. Never had a problem for 2 years.

The rear used to compress so much so it would bend my plate.

600rr and 1000rr are sexiest Jap bikes; they both look good at all angles; THe same cannot be said for many.. R1 comes in a narrow second.
