Christ!The lyrics above are from my favorite hymn that we sang when I went to my Anglican elementary school, it is not a manifestation of my ego or Christ complex. I cited the relevant verses that deal with the crucifixion and subsequent resurrection. I selected it because the image of Christ resurrected and triumphant is so powerful and hedonistic that it has historically been supressed. |
