Well... I gotta say... V. IBM Warranty Service

Sent my laptop last Friday due to it discharging super fast with new batteries... they received the laptop today at 7.45 AM according to DHL, at 7.56 AM repair started, at 3.39 PM it was shipped back.

They changed the system board, logic controller for battery circuitry, updated the BIOS and also said they cleaned the HSF for me

I should expect it tomorrow... that is massively awesome and cool!

I've made a few marks that would identify that... we'll see.

I work in a laptop shop, we have a guy there who repairs IBM's that can churn them out at a rate of 2 per hour depending on if it is a simple repair or not. Hes been working there for 15 years. When you think about it, that's kind of depressing

edit: where do you live, maybe we worked on it

What's your point? They've been Lenovo for a LONG time and the customer service is still stellar.

Our shop is in Concord. To be honest they probably would do it faster, even with shipping. With our shop it usually takes us a few hours to diagnose it properly and maybe a day to get parts from IBM (we do mainly warranty work), but once all that crap is in it usually takes less than an hour to install everything, maybe two hours to test it to make sure it works properly.

I have to agree. I emailed them with my problem on a friday night, they called me an hour later, overnighted a box to me on Saturday, and told me I would get it back Monday if I sent it out Sunday. I didn't, so I sent it out Monday, and got it back Tuesday afternoon with a new LCD screen <3
