Scrivener never gets any love :(

That doesn't look too bad.
If it has: 1) Dynamic weather. 2) Realistic object based physics (ie, a bush won't stop you like a brick wall). 3) Realistic vehicle damage and malfunctions. 4) Decent cockpit cam. 5) No consolitis. Then it looks like I'm sold. Edit: One thing it looks like it's missing is the nuances of the road itself. For the most part, it seems like every road is just flat and even. That's not always the case, especially on dirt/gravel. That's one area where Richard Burns really got it right. In comparison, this seems really flat... but then, the videos are primarily 3rd person god-cam, so it's harder to tell how big a problem this will be. In any case, I'm less skeptical than I used to be. Last edited by Scrivener; 05-03-2007 at 08:53 AM.. |

My Title was WAY too Long.

Looks fun and the environmental physics and damage look good, but then again codemasters games always have good damage effects. The arcadey go cart like driving physics they usually implement look to be as present as usual I doubt I will enjoy this game any more than the horrible Race Driver and Colin McRae series.

^ Colin McRae series used to be the best Rally games there were until Richard Burns Rally came out. I wouldn't exactly call it a horrible game.
CMR 2.0 and 3 were some of the best rally games when they were first released. When you compare the physics in any other rally game (WRC, GranTurismo 3 / 4, Xpand Rally) they all suck in comparison to RBR. I never played CMR 4 or 5, maybe those are a lot worse. |

Looks good and the Rally Raid looks like fun. Just curious though...will the UK version have a guy with an American accent calling out the turns?
