Foot Washing Benches in Airports

I find this to be absurd. The United States is giving in to doing everything that every minority bitches about.

I think its just plain rediculous.

One airport official told WND the police are concerned about "catering" to Islamic rituals at the airport, particularly after the 9/11 hijackings and the more recent transatlantic sky terror . Airports have been operating under heightened security. The KCI Airport Police force, in fact, was beefed up after 9/11 to help prevent Islamic terrorism.
Islamic suicide attackers go through a ritual called ablution, or bodily cleansing, before carrying out their martyrdom operations. The 9/11 hijackers performed this ritual before entering airport terminals.

Now they have the ease of washing their feet right before they get on the plane to terrorize it. Awesome.

Not really a big deal...airports try to cater to passengers from all corners of the earth and there are often mini-chapels in the larger international airports. However...if you're muslim and use one of these "washing stations" you have to wonder how many hidden surveillance cameras are pointed at you.

Ban muslims from using prayer rugs near airports, the 9/11 hijackers used prayer rugs near airports. How is this a big deal at all except as a talking point for bigoted retards?

NPR talked about this a while back...a university was putting in foot washing stations in the dorm bathrooms or something like that. People were crying "separation of church and state!" as soon as it was proposed.

The fact of the matter was, a girl was trying to wash her feet in a normal sink and fell and hurt herself, and they asked "how can we accommodate this religious practice in a way that won't result in people getting hurt?"

It makes sense to me. It's not establishment of religion to provide safe facilities for the observance of a specific religious ritual, it's just a nice thing to do.
