It's a wonderful time of year.

Finally pulled the miata from storage. Left it in a neighbors summer home garage over winter. Payment for storage was some plumbing and repairing a sump pump The roads and weather are good enough now. Only thing is, I still need tires. Front right has a slow leak, and the tires are 18 year old bridgestone 185's, so the car has some traction issues. To give an idea of how bad these slip, I can get posi in 2nd gear... This is a 1.6L miata with an open rearend.

Who else just got their summer rides out of the barn, and what's she need to be prime?

aight so the mud up here is know for its 'thickness'
I dunno if they say that about mud everywhere, but I believe it now.

He was pullin a trailer down a dirt road that was wet. The trailer was wider than his truck and we broke trail down the road. 16" trailer tires gummed up and stopped turning. Suddenly we're pulling an 18' dead weight down a road with nowhere to turn around. We thought we'd turn to the grassy (somewhat drier) field. No dice.....

So we dug and jacked for about 5 or 6 hours. Ended up with mud everywhere, a busted grill (the jack-all slipped ), and finally convinced a tow-truck to come out.

He winched us out and proceeded to get stuck, so I pulled our truck out with my truck, then we both pulled the tow truck out. Then the tow truck pulled the trailer out with some SLICK skills, and we were good to go

Well...... my Miata should be out of the shop in the next day or two. I am also waiting for a call from a tire place that is looking for T1R's or RS'2's for me. Oh, and I need to go get it aligned, hopefully the same day I get the car. Other then that, I do have some other news but ill tell in a new thread when I get my car back.

Edit: If you want tires, miata forums recommend Falken RT615 or Hankook RS2's for grip, and Toyo T1R for less grip then the other two but more comfort.

I feel sorry for you guys who can't drive your sportscars year round.

We had maybe two days this winter where driving a sportscar would have been difficult or impossible, so I just drove my older sportscar.

It definitely is a great time of year; it has been 68f in the mornings and 78f in the evenings, wonderful convertible weather!

Florida is an enthusiasts state though. No emissions, rather lax police force against modified vehicles (unless you are a complete jackass or the cop is) and good weather just about year around.
