Did Jesus ever mention homosexuality?
I know a lot of you here have read the bible. In the bible, the red letter words are supposed to be his quotes. are any of those read letter sentences about homosexuality? are there many of them that aren't about being honest, and merciful, and forgiving?
The reason i ask is because i just watched this really good interview http://www.cbc.ca/thehour/video.php?id=1401 its with Tony Campolo, who was president Clinton's spiritual adviser. he's pissed that jesus is being tied with a political party. that its arrogant to hinge Christianity and morality in this country on 2 issues, abortion and gay rights. That its not right that somehow Republicans are God's party. He goes on to say how Bono has done much more for the poor than pretty much anyone who calls themselves religious christian in this country. that on judgementt day, jesus isnt going to ask you theological questions - its going to be about how you treated the poor. frankly, i've never heard a better pro-christianity explanation ever. all these people taking the bible literally but they seem to be missing the big picture, the over all message about forgiveness and being loving. i guess hippy jesus isnt as cool ass kicking, baby saving jesus.
