Gun SIghts

I bought a .22 rifle to play around with and the scope that it came with is WAY off. The scope is a $90.00 scope that was thrown in cause the gun was on sale.

When i shoot it though at a distance of 50 feet it's shooting like 4-6ft high. How do i fix this? I'm very new to guns. The only thing i had before this was a BB gun with your standard Y and I targeting system.

Also if you could give me any tips on how to keep my gun nice and clean it would be apricated.

First, get some quality gun scrubber cleaning stuff like Hoppes.

As for the scope, you should be able to adjust the angle on one of the knobs on the top. You may have to pop off the cover and use a screwdriver to adjust it. Try and find the manual on the internet it should tell you exactly how.

O and for lubrication, I just use synthetic motor oil, but not alot. Just enough to glaze the bolt, hammer, etc...

I use sewing machine oil, works fine. For cleaning, I use WD40, copper wire patches, then felt, then the compressor to blow out the last WD40. Then apply oil with a brush.

Truth.

A range where you have your own lane and move your target in and out on a remote switch is the easiest - it's a bitch trying to make minor adjustments while waiting for a fire break.

Unless of course you're out in the middle of nowhere and can shoot all you want.
