Dyno'd my car at Carlisle show: Results=good
Well my DD 81 242 was there, its kinda clean, interior looks good, etc etc. Its a 81 turbo with stock intercooler.
I bought it with an MBC and a full SAM turboback 3 inch. Stock k-jet, stock cam, etc. Boost is set at 12 pounds, runs great. There was a VCOA guy there is a nice 83 homogulation 242, CLEAN, with R brakes, Terminal 11 (funny boost-enrichment "cheat"), 14 PSI, IPD turbo cam(assumed straight up) and thats it I think. he was a really nice guy, super-clean car, really proud of it (he was old too) So he ran his car and got 132 wheel I think, didnt see the torque numbers. I was not impressed, and his AFRs were so rich after like 3800 (500+rpms were below 10:1), t-11 was too much for the stock 42/48. So I had no plans of running the dyno, it was $80 for 2 runs, but the previous owner was there, and offered to split it with me. "why not..." They put it up, dyno it twice and: ![]() ![]() 162/214 was my best. I am very happy with the results. I was even happier that I beat the VCOA guy, but he was already gone. MY AFRs were a bit higher than I'd like, but I guess since it is all stock thats no big deal. I really wanna slap on like a t4 and some t-11 now...
