Does anybody else's dog really hate Advantage?

Something I've noticed when I'm putting it on our dogs. Everytime I even bring the package up, they look like I'm about to beat them, and when it's on, they act like they've been beaten and are in serious shit. My lab can't lay still for more than 20 seconds either, he just keeps getting up and walking around.

Anybody else's pet act strangely to Advantage?

You could try switching to Frontline, but really they are the same stuff I think.

You should see our cat, somehow she KNOWS when I'm getting the little tube of frontline before I even have it in my hand. What follows is her running and hiding under a table and hissing at me. Then after I put it on her she walks around in circles and acts weird for a few minutes.

That stuff likely burning their skin. You are aware that some dogs and cats have had reactions on that stuff, like hair falling out, or skin marks where it was applied. I don't even own a pet and knew that. I don't know if Frontline does the same.

switch to a different brand. i've also heard of it causing problems for people's pets.

ya i hate putting that stuff on my cat. usually someone else in my family does. i try to convince them its some kind of mind control device for pets but i have no say in it. it works in getting the fleas off. though im sure if i tried i could find some herbal method of flea control.

Frontline is methoprene + S-fipronil, while Advantage is imidacloprid which is also sold as Merit and Gaucho by Bayer for use in agricultural/landscape/structural pest control. Frontline's AI is used in Raid baits among other things. Its all in how they formulate their products.

my wife's parent's dog (christ) had seizures from advantage. pretty crazy
