yep, that's right. you monkeys and your friends have raped my school's server to the point that networking thinks it's hacked.
 apparently, there are over 600 people connected pretty much 24-7, with sustained bandwidth use around 25Mb. i emphasize the word sustained.  after a thorough examination of the box, myself and two co-workers called it secure. they started looking for the cause of the rapage, and looked at the logs. turns out i churn out about four pics a second on average. here are a few graphs that account for the last two and a half months or so:   and second place goes to a guy with many pages; i just have the directory. that's it. and number 13 is the [H]ard Family Circus directory. so that's the deal. i'm not saying it's gone and never coming back, but i voluntarily took it down to gauge the impact on bandwidth. i don't think this warrants a sticky, but if someone feels the need, go nuts; i've already gotten one e-mail about it, and the pics have only been gone for ten minutes. i will be out of my office for a while (yay for critical security updates), but i will check back in a bit and answer questions of there are any. updates will be posted in this thread.
