I'm no food sanitation expert, but I imagine that'd be fine if you just did it a day in advance. You'll probably have to add to the cooking time, though.

I love your threads. Your enthusiasm, pictures, and recipes are fabulous.

However, I feel like I'm getting fatter just by reading your threads!

Hahah, I usually eat pretty healthy. Grilled chicken, salad or grilled veggies, rice or potatoes... but that doesn't make for good threads, so I don't post 'em.

Awesome, glad you like it. I made my uber-sauce last night, so look for a picture thread this weekend when I get a chance.

I've heard from Emeril and I think Alton too that you don't need to pre-cook the pasta.... what do you think?

Truth. I don't pre-cook it any more.

But it just doesn't give that umph anymore =(

Zucchini really makes an excellent addition to veggie lasagna. Even if you think you don't like it, it just meshes with the other flavors so well.

made the lasagna today with the simple sauce. it was pretty good but the sauce was a bit sweet for my liking, going to have to modify it a bit. one batch of sauce was just enough for 2 trays of lasagna.

The amount of sugar greatly depends on the strength/amount of onions and vinegar. I also like my sauce sweeter than some, though. It's how my momma always made it.
