Thanks for the constructive comment. Look, I went from 230 lbs to 185 lbs by my workout routine and diet. I call it successful even if sit ups were the wrong choice. I now know to get an exercise ball.

no, you failed this lesson. starting strength, mark rippetoe. google it (you'll probably find the starting strength wiki) and read the logic behind it. you did really well getting your weight down (that's a huge amount, no bs), but realize that there are smarter ways to train then getting an exercise ball.

If you're being serious, a Bowflex, is one of the worst investments you can make in fitness (assuming you're wanting more than just a moderate level of fitness) for the price you pay for one.

You guys need to quit being so condescending.

There is a hell of a difference between trying to spot reduce fat and trying to strengthen/tone your muscles.

Let me clarify, when I said get an exercise ball, I didn't mean to use it completely for all of your workout. It's a great way to build core strength by doing crunches and the like when you're just starting out building muscle, but it shouldn't be used just by itself, rather in conjunction with other exercises.

Lather, Rinse, and Repeat.

You forgot power cleans or Pendlay rows

But anyways, Coqui is right, just do Rippetoe's (those are the only lifts you will be doing) and you don't need to do ab work; your abs will get more than enough work from compound movements.

I understand what a bowflex is. I don't understand how you can sit here and tell me it's a worthwhile investment.
