I was not really aruguing which setup was better(LSx vs RB) I made my comment more jokingly simply because of how beautiful this setup is.
An LSx swap would be no easier than that of an RB engine though, the only difference is that you have to over night your engine and tranny(from a Skyline GT-ST and oil pan from an RB25DE/T) from japan

I get it. You like the RB motor.

From a purely mercenary standpoint, for the $9k I got in settlement, I could do an RB swap to maybe 50% completion, if I didn't fix any of the body damage.

From my point of view, it's a bundle of wires, sensors, and computers that would need to stand between me and the road that don't exist right now. I was happy with the way the car drove before it was wrecked. Is it too much to think that I was happy with what I had?

So, would you kindly either 1) drop it, or 2) get it the fuck out of my thread?

By the way, that oil pan is NLA.

You are the biggest fucking idiot. I was in no way or shape arguing that you should replace the L24 in you 240Z. If I had a choice I would quicker swap an L28ET in.
I only suggested it over an LSx swap should any swapping be done and was not even seriously putting forward a reason why it should especially over an engine thats readily available in the US.
My post was made knowing that you did not intend to do any major modding to the 240Z like you stated before

edit://way to be a fucking

holy shit dude, no need to piss in the man's cherrios over it

I mean, halfway jokingly suggesting engine swaps is all fun and games, but you didn't have to come into his thread and get all hostile about it.

This is not something I would normally do.
I was responding to L33T_h4x0r_d00d about the swap and only did it because someone posted a pic of that specific 240Z so I posted pics of the rest of the car and facetiously suggested the RB.
Its not like I said it him "go do this to your car". He chose to single me out a full month after my post(not like if he did not see it before, he posted right under it). Seems to me like someone had already pissed in his cheerios tonight.

and I picked the wrong post to quote, so I didn't even mean to upset you.

Oh, just add one... little billet adaptor that bolts to one of the cam gears, voila!

Welding is done in the back:

They've started blocking and filling.

Next, should be primer and more blocking.

I've got a new crank bolt and washer, so the motor should be done (ready to drop in) this weekend.

The carbs are back on the L24, much rejoicing was heard.

Jason was much amused by the radiator fan that is now also on:

Where I left the engine yesterday (It may amuse some of you to know that the fan in the picture is not repainted, but was just so covered in grime, that it looked black initially):

The corners are now cleaned up and beaten flat:

They've taken all the waves out of both sides.
