Are there any insurance companies that cover pre-existing conditions?

My mother's insurance no longer covers me, so I need to find some personal health insurance or something for a bit. I have a rather nasty issue involving my head and the contents within, and my last surgery was about ~$300,000

I am wonder if there are any insurances that will cover pre-existing conditions?

No, that wouldn't be economically viable for them now, would it?

It looks like I'll need a shunt to drain spinal fluid into my stomach soon. I have bad fluid flow around my brain, and in a certain spot, it is building up and causing a huge amount of pressure against my poor brain. I get wicked headaches now and then, and lately, they're becomming more common.

Why doesn't your mom's insurance cover you? How long ago were you dropped from her insurance?

Also - you need to look into legal matters -

Look at this page - http://insurance.yahoo.com/lh/hipaa.hin.html

You need to get someplace that you can have group coverage - they have many provisions for people with health problems.

I'm 19. My mom's insurance won't cover me because I don't go to college. I tried it for a year, failed out. Waste of money. I just got dropped this august. I have no job at all, it's impossible to find one around here. My little issue isn't life-threatening, nor does it affect me really, other than some nasty headaches. I used to have some vision loss, but the 2001 surgery fixed that aspect.

I need a job that has insurance.

Hmm.. college is a waste of money even though you failed out yet left you qualified to get $300,000 surgery. Now, what is really a waste of money is being an employer hiring someone with medical conditions like yours, or being an insurance company accepting someone who they know will require expensive surgeries.
