A minigun is an incrediably simple design, the same as a gatling gun, only with a motor. See the little bolts in the gun? The Wheels on them ride up a came cylinder, as they do they are "cocked" when they get to the top, they drop down and fire the round. quite simple actually, relatively unchanged operating procedure sence they were first introduced as gatling guns.
