best ways to drink scotch whisky?

getting a bottle of johnnie walker red label tomorrow, did some reading and most people say that red label is best for mixing long drinks. so i wanted to ask what kind of drinks you guys make with scotch?

i was thinking along the lines of some type of water ( carbonated, tonic, along those lines) a type of fruit juice (cranberry, grape) and some lemon or lime. mixed pretty much 1 to 1 with just a bit of lemon/lime.

ive had an assortment of whiskey but never a scotch whisky. is it much different?

also heard of people just drinking scotch and tonic, any good?

2 small ice cubes is how i do jw black. red is the same only a few bucks less.

yea i know jw is blended. but it appealed to me one way or another. i will try some on the rocks but i've heard a lot of people say that black label is better left alone while red label is better mixed.

i dont give a shit what you do, but please dont mix anything with scotch except ice or water. im cringing now at the prospect of some fucking grape juice polluting ANY delicious product of scotland
