is it me or are there audio issues? thankfully the subtitles pick them up but wow there is a lot of those where the voices go whisper quiet or gone altogether. Aside from that annoying niggle, I'm enjoying the game. Act 3 now!

Yes I did but it's been a while...never played MGS3 though. I'm well aware of the quirks and offbeat stuff in every Japanese game...I guess it was just getting immersed in the COD4 type atmosphere of act 1 (had my war face on) and then the silliness kinda took away the immersion for a second. That and the uncontrollable cutscenes that happen every time you start to get your groove on.....no doubt it will get better when I'm further in though.

edit- I'm just hoping for some more Meryl in her underwear action...now THAT would be a good tribute to the fanboys.

Yeah, I have to jack up the volume during the cutscene movies since my center channel isn't putting out anything...no voices..nada. Hopefully that will be patched up before I finish the thing.

I just beat it...probably would of yesterday, but I had to go to work and sell the damned game instead of play it.

 I didn't like the Snake vs Liquid Mortal Kombat crap at the end...in the 2nd Phase he keeps using that damned cheap charge punch that takes away 1/3 of your life...ended up pinning him in a corner and charge punching him myself in the 2nd and 3rd phases of the battle. Was a huge let down considering how awesome the game was a whole.

Speaking of, I thought the whole sneaking into the hideout in Eastern Europe was a pain in the ass too...I like how MG games give you the option to be stealthy or run and gun, but forcing the sneaking down our throat there was disappointing.

I loved piloting REX though. , one of the best parts of the game. Other favorites of mine were when they spliced the screen during the Suicide Gekko fight and the part where Snake crawls through the microwave corridor.

I actually tried turning on a 2nd controller at the beginning of the Mantis fight to see if it would work , I think they should of done another real world solution to the boss like they did in MGS1...perhaps play with the controller tilted 90 degrees to the left or right to make the sixaxis kick in, or turn the PS3 from horizontally to vertically (If It can detect that...?).

I actually came on here when the credits started rolling to post, then had to run to the other room when the Big Boss cutscene started playing...

Overall, great game. Would be funny if Kojima made some kind of game featuring Snake in his old age now...perhaps Alaskan Dogmushing championships?  

Spoiler free review: You owe it to yourself to get this game if you have a PS3. Story might confuse you if you haven't played much Metal Gear, but the gameplay is excellent enough to keep you going.

anyone figure out a way to play your own mp3's on the i-pod? on the podcast included with it, ryan mentions you can listen to your own music... mine doesn't show up though

edit: also, ryan was a guest on 1up yours podcast and mentions a cool feature. if you shake your controller, apprently it can make  rose's breasts  bounce.
