Zack and Miri Make a Porno... why is it banned?

I heard they're not allowed to use the word 'porno' in the promotion of this movie, yet the trailer is quite vulgar and offensive. What gives? Maybe it's just in the States.

It looks damn funny in any case. Kevin Smith and Seth Rogan seems like a wicked combo.

it's ok, it's like clerks 2 with porn in it. i think seth rogen has worn out his welcome with me as he played the same character he has in the past few movies. the other cast is great though and i found myself laughing more when he wasn't on screen.

Apparently in Canada theyre using different promo material.
Of course we're so bombarded by American media that I've seen more of the PG rated ads than otherwise

Saw it last night, it's not quite as good as Clerks II, which I really loved, but it's pretty close. I think I like Clerks II more because there was less romantic and more comedy.

Jason Mewes stole the movie though.

yeah, it's almost like he doesn't act.. but he's great at being a "dude" on screen. Must be nice i suppose, it's like having to work and not really work.

It was pretty funny but the overall experience is weakened by the overlong sappy scenes that creep in to move the plot. Only Kevin Smith would mix anal sex and melodrama.

i didnt even mind the sappy scenes i thought they added a bit more to the script. it's rogen's acting that bothers me. someone else could have been a lot better.

It was good, and really funny, but I felt like Seth Rogen's character was basically exactly the same as the one he played in Knocked Up (which I don't remember finding all that funny). He does the "loser with a heart of... silver" role reasonably well, but after seeing that at least twice now, I'm just not that impressed by it anymore.

Justin Long, on the other hand, was freaking hilarious and almost managed to get me to forgive his performances in Waiting and the Mac commercials.
