What do stock C6 vettes put down to the wheels? My guess would be 380 or so. It's not that crazy that he could take one on from a roll where he wouldn't be traction limited since he does legitimately seem to be putting out 465hp...
A Z06 would be a much closer fight, and that's only in a straight line from a roll. The galant would get slaughtered by the Z06 on a track, autocross, dragstrip etc, which is nothing to be ashamed about given that the Corvette is designed to do that from the ground up and costs at least 2x more |

i also cant believe he said that the second heap "thrashed around" a C6. i doubt that turdbucket is even into the 13's, let alone 12's... when my shit was bone stock and still breaking in with 1500 miles, i went 12.4 @ 118. neither of these fucking heaps could play with a "base" c6, let alone a z06

Anyway man, you did a pretty badass out of the ordinary build, but it's absurd to think a heavier family sedan with a power curve resembling everest (sharp up and sharp down) would be able to beat a RWD car designed for speed from the ground up which has 2x the rubber around a racetrack of any sort

The Galant has basically the same chassis construction as an Evo. And with the minor tweaks I've given it, it certainly outhandles one under partial power. You obviously could never flat-foot this car through a corner, but you don't need to. if you missed the part where my setup makes 400+ WHP (corrected, whatever) from 4000 to 7000 RPM, then I forgive you for thinking that's a shitty power band. Show me an N/A V8 that peaks at ~550 WHP that does the same. There is not a single point where I would shift and fall out of this power band, unless I wanted to race something from a roll in 5th... But I'll tell you what, I need some money. If any of you s want to race, I'll take you on for $1000. No .
