MLB.TV Blackouts (need help with proxy's)

Hi guys, I just ordered MLB.TV to watch Red Sox games in Vermont, but stupidly didn't check to see if I'm blacked-out. Well I am. I think I can get past this by using a proxy, but I'm pretty ignorant in these matters so I was hoping you guys could hook me up.

1.) Can I watch Red Sox on MLB.TV by using a proxy?
2.) How can I do it for free?

Yeah, if you're in a certain area with mlb.tv (if the channel carrying the games for your team is available on basic television plans where you live) you won't be able to see the game. They won't show you anything, even if it's an away game. I get gameday audio with mlb.tv so I can listen to the radio feeds. Basically I've just payed fifteen dollars for radio. Awesome!

same thing with the big packages.

what it is is a local channel has the rights to that game in your market, so MLB.tv can't legally show it. It's blacked out.

The shitty part is when that local channel has the rights, but decides some other programming is more profitable and the game doesn't get shown at all.

Last year I paid for NHL center ice so i could watch the Red Wings because i live in chicago. Well every time a regular season game was on VS network they blacked out the game. It was fucking because there were a lot of wings reg season games on VS last season.
I'm never paying for sports packages again through my cable company, online streaming ftw

Yeah, same deal... back in the day when the Dallas Cowboys didn't sell out years in advance, we couldn't even get the game televised here until they did. Generally if they are sold out they will open it up to people.
