Trying to recall a package I sent thru USPS (v. Nigerian scammed)
So. I was being a
and sent a sent a $300 worth of stuff to Nigeria.I dropped off the box yesterday at my local USPS office. And today, I just dropped off the recall form. I got a call shortly from my local USPS office, and the guy basically said that the package is gone and theres no way they can get it back. I dont know much about mailing and stuff but I think thats fucking . I requested for a recall within less than 24 hours after I dropped it off, and its already gone?have anyone here ever have to deal with shit like this? I never have to deal with USPS before and I have no idea how reliable they are. Should I even bother trying to contact the place my package is going to before it leave the US?

Well I think the problem is that USPS deals with country's local mail service. Its not like UPS where there is a UPS in Nigeria that they could contact their offices to hold the package and send it back. At least this is how it was when sending stuff back home with USPS. You are shit out of luck. You live and learn, sometimes at a great expense. |

I don't know what you mean by "stuff". Is it tangible items or is it money?
If it were any check (you'd be stupid to send cash) you can actually go through your bank and put a stop payment on it. If it is done through USPS, I think you COULD do something. I ordered gardening supplies from eBay and even though eBay had my correct address, they shipped it to my previous one. I couldn't have that because the assholes I lived with would not give me anything back ever. I contacted USPS and they said they could not stop the package from where it was going UNLESS the original sender tells them to. Now, you're the original sender, so I'm not sure (unless it's international policy) if you can, but I was lucky and got the packaged stopped from going there right in the nick of time.

Well there goes the difference, USPS is the US mail, in Nigeria it certainly isn't so lets see USPS call up Nigeria mail services and try to put a stop on anything. Its worth a short but I have dealt with shipping internationally with USPS and it not the same as shipping within the us or with FEDEX or UPS internationally Too many acronyms up in this bitch! |

You fell for the Nigerian scam?
What was in the package? Why didn't you receive money first, before you sent the package? ... ![]()
