Sudden nose bleeding
I woke up this morning with one of the worst headaches I've had in a while. I thought nothing of it at first because I was out drinking last night and I'm used to the hangover headache.
Maybe 2 hours after I woke up, the headache was still there and was actually getting worse. I tried taking 2 migraine tylenols but it hasn't had any effect up until now. Since I woke up, I have not been able to eat (I am hungry but just thinking of eating something makes me want to puke) and I have not smoked a single cigarette either. Usually I smoke almost a pack a day and the first of the day is as soon as I wake up. Granted, I smoke a full pack last night so maybe that's why I don't have the urge today. Anyway, I was looking up some stuff on the web about hangover headaches or whatever you call them and my nose just started bleeding out of the blue from the left nostril. Should I be concerned about this? It's the first time I've had something like this happen to me, and I don't pick my nose if you need to ask. Any input is appreciated. |

Are you drinking water? You could be very dehydrated. (Which is the main cause of hangover symptoms.) Can cause headaches, nose bleeds, etc. If you are getting plenty of water then I'd talk to a doc. If not, try to drink as much water as you can and see where that gets you...

nose bleeds that aren't from getting punched in the face is pretty much always from dryness. Lack of water, etc...make sure there's enough fluid in your nose and if not put some polysporin / neosporin in.

Id go to the doctor right now, sudden serious nosebleeds + serious headache +nausea are indicated a much bigger problem than any one alone.
Im no doctor, but I know excess pressure in your brain can cause all those. Is anything coming out of your ears? (clear fluid). Even if it isnt, that sounds really serious, go to a doctor. |

Looks like someone has been doing a spot o' drinking himself... Anyways, it could be from that pack of cigarettes as well.. If I smoke a lot at any one time, I tend to either exhale from my nose or breath through my nose more- both of which dry it out...

....or it could be that alcohol dehydrates you thus creating dryness as i said. Somewhat likewise with ciggs, nic is a stimulant.
