Help identify strange substance dripping down walls

The new apartment we are in has had what looks like 7 paint jobs. The carpet was re-done and everything was made to be new.

In the bathroom I've noticed that on certain surfaces, like the part of the sink that is connected to the wall has some yellow substance in it. Then I noticed it on top of the radiator. Then pooled on top of the toilet paper holder. It didn't build up, it more or less pooled. Out of nowhere. I'll notice the walls starting to appear if a light drizzle is coming from somewhere, but there is no evidence. Then, a couple hours later, a goo pool.

I found that it's slowly dripping down the walls, though harder to see. But I have NO idea what it is or where it has come from! There is no leak, no damage. So I figure it has something to do with them re-painting it?

It's just kind of gross. It's not very sticky, like honey or anything, but it's thicker than most liquid, yellowish, and of the same color of light colored honey.

What could be this mystery goo and how do I get rid of it?

im pretty sure its condensation build up from your showers, then the small amounts of algae that forms within the build up creates the discoloration...

The wall is coming off too white with the bulbs in there. I'm going to wait to morning when I can just use the sun for better lighting (not so good camera.)

It just seems thick for condensation. Not as sticky, but reminds of of maple running down a tree.

Any wood trim in the bathroom? I've seen wood door frames ooze sap with continued humidity exposure. Could also be linseed oil from oil based paint.

Maybe the previous tenants were heavy smokers and smoked inside. I know that shit creates a film on the walls. Steam from your showers could be bringing it out. Either way, that's gross and I'd call management right away.

I lived where they put wallpaper in the bathroom and the glue would leak out like that.

I can't tell. My taste buds on the tip were burned off after the second lick. I'll try again in an hour. Tasted a bit like snozzberries.

Sorry I never posted the pics. I was way too busy with other problems that I ignored the mystery goo. Now it's more noticeable. The camera isn't very good, but you can see it.
