Are they fixing this for free the next go-around? If not, take it to another shop and tell them what you told us.

No need to keep filling the pockets of the same scam artists. Spread the wealth.

Actually, don't tell the new shop anything about what the other shop "repaired" and see what their diagnosis is.

Only about 12% of mechanics are honest.

08 ford fusion

well known for having the ABS system go bad actually

found this video that describes it well

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0r46_unyYk8

I wonder if they put in a salvage / junkyard replacement that had the same problem.

NHTSA has an open investigation for this problem

https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2008/F...investigations

at least if it gets recalled I can get it repaired again for free

car repairshops should be outlawed. when i was in college they wanted $2,000 in repairs to my 12 year old shitbox. i had to wear them down with 300 questions to get them to admit that about 80% of them were optional. which is what i had asked if i could do at the start and they were like nah

i don't even know how to drive a manual

I can feel when the automatic is going to shift and let off the gas if I want fuel economy and with a V6 I get great acceleration anyway. Can't feel it very well in newer SUVs and stuff, when I drive one of those and don't pay attention to the tachometer it'll shift pretty randomly, or at least much differently than when I control it. And I spend a lot of time in stop-and-go traffic where having a manual would be a huge pain.

but it's much more convenient to have my other hand free so I can fondle myself or use the phone or something.

About 70% of the car repairs I've had done haven't fixed the problem. I think if it's not obvious I'm just going to sell my vehicle every time it's something tricky. This should be obvious but did they bleed the lines?
